About the role AMECO is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Sales Account Representative located in the Houston, TX area.
As a Commercial Sales Account Representative, you will provide personalized solutions to fit our customers’ equipment, tooling, and consumable needs. The ideal candidate is a team player who displays exceptional sales and customer service skills, along with the ability to build/maintain long‑term relationships.
The customer base includes construction businesses, contractors, scaffolding, industrial, electrical power welding & rigging industries, and more.
Key responsibilities
Increase the company’s market share by prospecting new business (equipment rental and supply needs) while servicing and growing existing accounts in the assigned territory.
Foster and forge new and existing relationships that impact the long‑term success of AMECO’s products and services, including quoting, selling/up‑selling/cross‑selling to drive increased customer spend and trust.
Manage an assigned account base, ensuring customer service/satisfaction expectations are met while achieving sales and profitability objectives.
Manage a CRM platform and build a pipeline of qualified businesses.
Requirements
Minimum of three years’ experience in an outside sales, account management or business development capacity.
Prior exposure to the supply distribution, equipment rental industry, mechanical, contracting or construction services, including knowledge of our product offering (tools and equipment) is beneficial.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to juggle multiple time‑sensitive priorities while delivering quality support to customers in a fast‑paced environment.
High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to respond to inquiries at all levels.
Team‑oriented mentality.
Some college/associate degrees in a related field preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis, report generation and formulating sales quotes/materials/presentations.
SAP experience, particularly SAP Business One, is a definite plus.
Travel & Location This position will involve some travel, including overnight stays, and candidates will be supported by our Houston, TX branch location.
