Key Responsibilities
Deliver sales, distribution, and profitability targets for the Publix business, ensuring alignment with both company objectives and Publix’s category goals.
Execute Joint Business Planning initiatives in partnership with leadership, incorporating CPI insights and data‑driven recommendations to strengthen customer collaboration.
Support the development and execution of promotional and trade plans, ensuring investments align to budget and deliver measurable ROI.
Monitor and analyze post‑promotional results, providing insights to optimize future planning and performance.
Contribute to omni‑channel strategy and activation across Publix.com, ensuring consistent brand presence and pricing across channels.
Lead item sell‑in and innovation presentations with Publix category managers and buying teams, leveraging insights to secure new distribution and incremental growth.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Category Development, Finance, and Supply Chain to align forecasts, promotional calendars, and innovation timelines.
Serve as the day‑to‑day customer contact for Publix’s buying and merchandising teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues and seamless execution of customer programs.
Partner with Sales Planning and Operations to support forecasting, demand planning, and retail readiness for new and existing SKUs.
Stay current on competitive activity and market trends, sharing insights with internal stakeholders to inform brand and customer strategies.
Engage with broker and retail partners to ensure flawless execution at store level and adherence to merchandising standards.
Knowledge / Abilities
Strong commercial and customer acumen, with a solid understanding of retail sales, category dynamics, and Publix’s business model.
Advanced analytical skills, leveraging data and financial insights to evaluate performance and guide business decisions.
Skilled negotiator and influencer, able to build productive relationships and drive alignment with Publix and internal partners.
Excellent communication and presentation ability, distilling complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Collaborative and adaptable, effectively partnering across Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Category Development to deliver results.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to translate analysis into compelling business stories.
Strong broker management and partnership on day‑to‑day execution to drive business results and present as one voice to Publix.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 8 years of progressive sales experience within the consumer‑packaged goods (CPG) industry.
Minimum 3 years of direct experience managing the Publix business, including knowledge of Scorecard, Publix Portal and other Publix‑specific tools.
Proficiency with syndicated data platforms such as IRI or Nielsen, and the ability to interpret insights to inform business decisions.
Experience with trade management and forecasting programs, including Power BI or comparable analytics systems.
Working knowledge of Publix applications and systems, including but not limited to Scorecard, Publix Portal, Promo Wishlists, etc.
Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Category Development to align customer plans and ensure executional excellence.
Demonstrated success executing customer plans and driving sales growth through data‑driven decision making and promotional effectiveness.
Travel up to 40%.
