Our client is a global automotive supplier specializing in seating and safety-related components, with a growing footprint in North America now seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join the team. With a lean, entrepreneurial structure, this is an opportunity to have real impact and visibility within the organization.
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing new business with Japanese OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in North America. This is a hunter-focused role, ideal for someone who thrives on opening doors, building relationships from scratch, and securing new programs rather than managing established accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and win new business with Japanese OEM and Tier-1 customers (e.g. Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru)
Build and manage senior-level customer relationships, acting as the primary commercial interface
Drive RFQs, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations for new programs
Work closely with engineering, operations, and program management to deliver competitive customer solutions
Represent the business at customer meetings, technical discussions, and program reviews
Support the commercial strategy as the company expands manufacturing and program activity in North America
Candidate Profile
Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive sales
Proven experience managing Japanese OEM or Tier-1 accounts
Demonstrated hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business
Strong commercial acumen combined with technical curiosity
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growing organization
Willingness to work in a hybrid model and travel as required
