More About The Role We are seeking an Assistant Account Executive to join our Consumer & Brand Practice in NYC. This role offers the opportunity to work on an exciting consumer brand account, including entertainment and lifestyle sectors, supporting large‑scale activations, media relations, and influencer engagement.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and passionate about blending trends and culture into meaningful PR strategies. You will collaborate with teams to execute campaigns, develop media materials, and build relationships with journalists and influencers.
What You’ll Do
Conduct media monitoring and prepare daily reports across traditional and social media.
Develop and maintain media lists, reporter databases, and influencer contacts.
Draft and distribute press materials including pitch letters, news releases, fact sheets, bios, newsletters, and briefing documents.
Support media relations efforts by pitching stories and building relationships with reporters and editors.
Assist in planning and executing media and influencer events, including logistics and on‑site support.
Track and analyze media coverage and campaign performance against KPIs.
Participate in client meetings, capturing notes and next steps accurately.
Provide in‑office support for press requests, product shipments, and event coordination.
Stay informed on industry trends and cultural moments to inform creative ideas and strategies.
Experience That Contributes To Success
0‑1 year of PR experience or relevant internships in consumer communications, entertainment, or lifestyle brands.
Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with social platforms and how they intersect with media coverage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with tools like Cision, MuckRack, Brandwatch is a plus.
Previous agency experience preferred.
Willingness to travel and work outside standard business hours for event support.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between: $35,000—$75,000 USD.
