The Aftermarket Sales Engineer I will support aftermarket parts and service inquiries across specialized product lines which include Pumps, Gravity Belt Thickeners, Belt Filter Presses, Paddle Dryers, Turbo Dryers, and Rotary Atomizers. Under the guidance of senior team members, the Aftermarket Sales Engineer I will respond to customer requests, learn to diagnose equipment issues, and develop technical knowledge of Komline's product portfolio. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in technical sales while contributing to customer satisfaction and aftermarket business growth.

Roles And Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries for replacement parts and service through phone, email, and CRM channels with guidance from senior team members

Learn to read and interpret mechanical drawings to identify correct replacement part numbers

Assist in preparing quotations with accurate pricing and delivery timelines using established guidelines and templates

Support the order entry process and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment

Develop product knowledge across Komline's specialized equipment lines through training and hands‑on experience

Build foundational relationships with customers through professional and responsive communication

Collaborate with Sales, Process Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance teams to support customer requests

Participate in product training sessions and shadow experienced team members to develop technical expertise

Assist with routine administrative functions related to order processing and customer correspondence

Support outbound customer engagement campaigns under the direction of the Director, Aftermarket and Service

Track customer interactions and maintain detailed notes in CRM for continuity and follow‑up

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

0‑3 years of experience in customer service, technical support, sales, or related role (internships and co‑op experience considered)

Strong communication skills with ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams

Technical aptitude and willingness to learn complex mechanical systems and equipment

Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Eagerness to learn and develop technical sales skills in an industrial environment

Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with mechanical drawings or CAD software

Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments through coursework, internships, or prior work experience

Basic understanding of industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, or mechanical systems

Experience with CRM or ERP systems

Knowledge of wastewater treatment, chemical processing, mining, or related industrial markets

Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience (D365)

Salesforce experience

Engineering degree or technical certification
