Technical Sales Manager Eleven Recruiting is hiring a Technical Sales Manager for one of our largest OEM clients sitting onsite in Creedmoor, NC. This organization is a global aerospace leader supporting legacy and mature aircraft platforms through the manufacture, license management, and aftermarket sustainment of critical aircraft components and systems.
In this role, you will drive customer engagement, expand market opportunities, and grow bookings across assigned product lines. You will interface directly with operators, defense agencies, and technical buying teams while partnering internally with value streams, engineering, and program teams to support profitable growth and exceptional customer experience. This is an ideal position for a sales professional with strong aerospace technical knowledge, proven commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex, long-cycle sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
Maximize revenue across assigned product lines by generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and capturing new orders.
Engage operators, government agencies, and defense customers to expand product knowledge and lifecycle support programs.
Lead sales campaigns to extend product-line life, increase organic growth, and enhance customer adoption.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms; create compliant technical and commercial proposals, including TINA packages when required.
Manage quotations, customer orders, and proposal submissions while ensuring accurate and timely delivery commitments.
Support internal value streams to improve profitability, reduce inventory, and strengthen customer experience.
Maintain and forecast sales pipeline through CRM (Dynamics), ensuring accurate visibility of opportunities and upcoming demand.
Prepare customer visit reports, weekly highlights, monthly updates, and account plans for leadership review.
Analyze customer order behavior and fleet intelligence to anticipate future needs and recommend growth actions.
Travel domestically and internationally to support customer meetings, trade shows, and growth initiatives.
Resolve customer challenges related to pricing, lead times, product configuration, or quality concerns using strong problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in aerospace, aviation, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
3+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, account management, or aftermarket support within aerospace or aviation.
Experience navigating complex aerospace customer environments (OEMs, MROs, operators, DoD, or government agencies).
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence technical and commercial stakeholders.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and progressing long‑cycle opportunities.
Proficiency with CRM tools (Dynamics strongly preferred), quoting systems, and proposal development.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, small team environment with high levels of ownership and accountability.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
