Industrial Sales Manager Position Purpose Responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and oversight within the Industrial Equipment portions of Kirby-Smith Machinery's overall Construction Equipment sales.

Industrial Sales Manager Essential Functions

Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal

Provides sales leadership, including recommendations on training both sales and service

Accounts for inventory needs both for sales, rental fleet, and when units need to come out of the fleet for retail

Collects intel on competition by region, including SWOT analysis

Maintains and grows Kirby-Smith Machinery's relationship with all Industrial manufacturing partners

Suggests any beneficial events, either local or national, that the company should participate in

Represents Kirby-Smith Machinery in all applicable trade and industry organizations

Drives revenue growth for the Takeuchi utility product line by developing and executing targeted sales strategies and promotions

Partners with Branch Managers to recruit, interview, hire, and train Industrial Sales team members

Collaborates with Branch Managers to review and optimize territory coverage, ensuring proper market and account coverage

Reviews sales performance with representatives regularly, providing constructive feedback, goal setting, and follow-up action plans

Conducts walk‑around, hands‑on training to reinforce product knowledge, selling skills, and safety practices

Owns development of bench strength by identifying high‑potential talent, implementing succession and career‑development plans, and ensuring adequate coverage for key roles

Maintains a regular field presence to support customer relationships, sales activities, and on‑site coaching

Performs other job‑related duties as assigned

Ensures consistent and reliable on‑site attendance

Industrial Sales Manager Minimum Qualifications

College degree preferred

Ten (10) years of dealer or manufacturer‑based industry experience

Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web‑based applications

Adept at organizing, planning, and task completion to manage a high volume of department paperwork

Valid Driver's License

Industrial Sales Manager Physical Requirements

Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance

Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead

Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors

Physical ability to perform work for extended hours

Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE
