About the Role Territory Sales and Service Representative

– Rapid City, South Dakota

As the face of Ecolab, you will manage your territory, service laundry and dish machines, dispense equipment and systems, and sell new solutions to help clients achieve a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment.

How You'll Make an Impact

Leverage tablet and mobile app tools during customer visits to recommend unique programs and solutions.

Convey total value to customers to meet their needs and grow sales within existing accounts.

Use problem‑solving skills to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment, and systems.

Provide emergency service to customers by phone or in person, as required.

Assist in equipment installation and solutions implementation.

Demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring client operations remain fully functional.

Manage equipment, parts, and inventory to control costs.

Position Details (if applicable)

Field‑based; may require travel to Rapid City, SD; Pierre, SD; Spearfish, SD.

Training includes 2 weeks in‑field at Ecolab HQ, Eagan, MN (travel paid by Ecolab). Remaining 10 weeks are in‑field training.

After training, manage, service, and sell to established customers such as restaurants, hotels, schools, and long‑term care facilities.

Weekend rotation: 1 in 8 weekends required (based on business demand). Travel requirement: 50%.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

2 years of sales, mechanical service, customer service, food service, or hospitality industry experience.

Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Current and valid driver’s license with no restrictions.

No immigration sponsorship available.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree or advanced training/certifications.

Mechanical problem‑solving experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical) in food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or pool/spa.

Physical Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs.

Pushing/Pulling.

Standing/Bending/Stooping.

Working in confined spaces.

Color discrimination (tools may be accommodated).

Availability for overtime.

Driving a company vehicle; pre‑employment motor vehicle record checks required.

Compensation The total compensation range is $55,700–$83,700 (base pay plus target incentive). The salary depends on experience, education, training, geography, and other factors.
