RETAIL SALES MANAGER LFS

The company operates year‑round locations in Washington and Alaska, supplying the commercial fishing industry and retailing industrial and sports netting, hydraulic services, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and online sales.
This position is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week, year‑round benefit‑eligible role based in Anchorage, AK. Summary The Manager will oversee daily operations at the Anchorage location, driving sales and profitability while working with LFS Corporate Management to set and report on business goals. Essential Functions
Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans. Maintain knowledge across all business disciplines. Develop new business relationships and sustain existing ones. Handle budgeting, forecasting, and analyze variances. Conduct market analysis to determine customer needs, inventory levels, and pricing. Monitor inventory levels and turn rates to ensure proper stock for seasonal demand. Develop store strategies to increase traffic and profitability through events and promotions. Create and maintain business policies, procedures, and standards. Collaborate with other managers to refine policies and drive growth. Deliver high‑level customer service. Engage staff, provide development and set performance standards. Act as liaison between the community, LFS divisions, and corporate management. Achieve key metrics such as sales, margin, and inventory turns. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and corporate teams. Train and mentor store staff to meet sales goals. Facilitate product training for self and staff. Work with Corporate Marketing to prepare promotional materials and displays. Create and execute the store merchandising plan. Coordinate participation in industry trade shows (e.g., Seattle Boat Show) and travel as required. Develop and communicate weekly employee schedules. Manage $1.5 million of inventory and coordinate annual physical inventory with the Inventory Control Manager. Report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing. Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Minimum Requirements • Four‑year degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience • Industry specific experience. • Supervision or leadership experience. Physical Demands • Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach; occasional climbing or balancing; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
