Senior Commercial Account Executive
Marsh McLennan Agency is looking for an experienced Sr. Commercial Account Executive to manage and expand our client insurance programs.
Responsibilities
Act as main point of contact with producers and maintain positive client relationships.
Initiate correspondence with the marketplace and vendors to ensure proper processing of requests.
Prepare renewal documents including insurance proposals, Acord insurance binders and certificates of insurance.
Manage accounts receivables and direct billing with respect to cancellations.
Perform quality check and control on insurance policies in their entirety.
Recommend additional products/services and expand broker/consultant services to meet client needs.
Delegate and manage tasks given to the account manager and outsourcing teams.
Coordinate and monitor usage and quality of outsourcing teams.
Build and maintain vendor relationships and negotiate with carriers on cost and program design.
Technical Expertise
Analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations.
Comprehend and interpret insurance contract requirements for certificates.
Communicate with insurance carriers and clients as needed.
Stay up-to-date on carrier plans and websites.
Become proficient using premium analysis software and carrier online rating programs.
Maintain knowledge of policy forms and endorsements and explain detailed coverage provisions to the client and account manager.
Requirements
Licensed: Texas P&C Agent – obtain within 6 weeks of hire.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
5+ years of Account Executive experience.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and current internet technologies.
Experience in client‑facing roles and presenting new business, renewals, strategy meetings, and claims reviews.
Strong communication, problem solving, and confidentiality skills.
Willingness to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary.
Ability to travel for client service needs.
