About the Position: We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and culturally aware individual to lead our
"Mi Hogar" Program —a Spanish-language, Latino-centered activities program designed for Spanish-speaking residents. This role is vital in promoting emotional well-being, engagement, and cultural identity through personalized activities and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and lead and cultural activities (Mon–Thu)
Host events celebrating Latino culture, holidays, music, art, and traditions
Provide a welcoming, engaging, and respectful environment for Spanish-speaking residents
Collaborate with the Activities Director to coordinate events and optimize resident engagement
Maintain program supplies and decorate activity areas to reflect cultural themes
Track participation, provide resident feedback, and support ongoing program development
Qualifications:
Fluent in Spanish and English
(required)
Prior experience in recreation, activity planning, or elder care (preferred)
Strong understanding of Latino cultural traditions and values
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Empathetic, patient, and passionate about working with seniors
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday
8 hours per day
Part-time position with consistent weekday hours
