Utility Worker
Immediate opening for Utility Workers with a well-established manufacturing facility in Easton. This entry-level position offers competitive pay and an excellent benefits package that includes PTO, health/life/dental/disability insurance, and a 401(k). Full-Time/Rotating Shift; 7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM; $23.86/hr. + $2.00/hr. shift differential for nights. Benefits available after temp-to-hire period concludes. The Utility Worker will primarily serve as a stand-in equipment operator on the production line to cover shift breaks and employee absences. This employee will also perform a variety of maintenance duties, including cleaning, painting, sweeping, and yard work. Special tasks may be requested by the site supervisor. Prior experience in manufacturing helpful, but not required. Responsibilities
- Stand in for equipment operators as directed during breaks, change-overs, absences, and/or vacations. - Clean areas in and around the facility by sweeping and removing debris from the job site. - Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of production equipment. - Paint, sweep, shovel, and clean various areas in the mill on an as-needed basis. - Perform general snow removal duties during the winter; shovel, salt, and sand outdoor areas. - Perform general groundwork during the summer; mow lawns, trim hedges, and remove brush and debris. - Use chainsaws to remove log jams and plugs on the production line. - Report deficiencies or equipment failures to shift supervisors and other staff members. - Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, skid steers and front-end loaders. - Attend safety and teamwork training sessions as requested. - Train on the assembly line under production team members and assist with other duties as requested by shift supervisor.
