We’re now hiring our
Sales Manager
to build the top of our sales funnel, test messaging, and help us land and expand our first wave of customers.
Role Overview As Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for
creating a pipeline : identifying target accounts, running outbound campaigns, qualifying inbound interest, and booking high-quality meetings for our founder. You’ll work closely with marketing and product to refine our ideal customer profile and learn what resonates in the market.
This is a great role for someone who wants to be early at an AI startup, learn fast, and grow into an AE or other go-to-market role.
What You’ll Do
Prospecting & research
Identify and prioritize target accounts and buyer personas within our ideal customer profile.
Research companies and contacts (LinkedIn, tools, news, etc.) to personalize outreach.
Outbound outreach
Run multi-channel outbound (email, LinkedIn, calls, events) to generate interest and meetings.
Write and refine outbound sequences and messaging to improve reply and meeting rates.
Qualify and book meetings
Respond to and qualify inbound leads.
Run discovery to understand pain points, budget, and decision process.
Schedule
qualified meetings/demos
for our sales team/founders and ensure a smooth handoff.
Pipeline hygiene & reporting
Maintain accurate records in our CRM (e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce).
Track key metrics: meetings booked, opportunities created, conversion rates, and activity volume.
Share feedback from prospects to help refine positioning, pricing, and product roadmap.
Experiment & improve
A/B test messaging, cadences, and channels.
Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, events, and content to fuel pipeline.
Proactively suggest ideas to improve our outbound engine and sales playbook.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
1–3 years in a
sales development, business development, or similar outbound role , ideally at a B2B SaaS or startup.
Comfort with
cold outreach
and rejection; you see “no” as data, not failure.
Skills
Strong written communication; you can write concise, compelling outreach that feels human.
Confident verbal communicator who can run early discovery conversations with senior stakeholders.
Organized and detail-oriented with good CRM discipline.
Mindset
Startup-ready: scrappy, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Metrics-driven: you care about conversion rates, not just activity volume.
Curious: you actively seek feedback and want to grow into closing roles (AE, etc.).
Nice-to-Haves
Experience selling to
enterprise / mid-market
customers.
Familiarity with
AI, security, compliance, or trust & safety
products.
Experience as an
early GTM hire
at a Seed/Series A startup.
