Utility Worker
The City of Morgan Hill is currently recruiting for one Utility Worker in the Engineering & Utilities Department. The Utility Worker classification is a flexibly-staffed classification of Utility Worker I/Utility Worker II and the City can fill the position at either level. Utility Worker I: Under general supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the maintenance of water supply and wastewater collection system facilities and appurtenances; performs related work as required. Utility Worker II: Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled work in the maintenance of water supply and wastewater collection system facilities and appurtenances; performs related work as required. The operation of equipment, vehicles and power tools is a regular responsibility of this class. In addition, the Utility Worker II position requires the possession of a Grade I Water Treatment Operator Certificate or a Wastewater Collection System Operator Certificate or the equivalent.
