We’re hiring a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements, supervise junior staff, and serve as a subject matter expert in tax law. You'll manage high-stakes tax returns, represent clients during audits, and drive process improvements. This role requires a CPA, JD, or LLM and at least 7 years of public accounting experience. Ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to take on both technical and leadership responsibility.
Roles and Responsibilities
Review and approve complex tax returns and government tax exams
Act as subject matter expert in tax discipline or industry
Manage tax return delegation and ensure accurate, timely delivery
Oversee and represent clients in governmental tax audits
Mentor and evaluate junior tax staff; lead development programs
Monitor workflow and billing processes for accuracy and compliance
Conduct tax software evaluations and suggest improvements
Support firm growth through networking and industry involvement
Job Requirements
CPA, JD, or LLM required
Bachelor's in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation is preferred
7–10 years in public accounting with increasing complexity
2+ years representing clients before tax authorities
1+ year supervising tax staff
Deep knowledge of current tax laws
Experience with tax prep, research, and planning software
Willingness to work 55+ hours/week during tax season is preferred
40 hours of annual CPE required

Lack of supervisory experience in tax preparation.
