Director of Sports

KTEN Television, the NBC/ABC/CW affiliates in Denison, Texas, has an opening for a full-timeDirector of Sports. Must be organized and able to lead the sports department’s focus on local sports. They will need to anchor, report and go live for sportscasts, stories and highlights, and interviews. The successful candidate for this position will have extensive knowledge of social media, be well versed in broadcast videography and editing, and first and foremost must be an exceptional journalist and storyteller with a strong, energetic on-air personality. Community involvement and the ability to cultivate solid relationships with area school administrations, coaches and players is critical. The successful candidate will work in the shadows of TV markets #5 (Dallas), #44 (Oklahoma City) and #61 (Tulsa). College degree or equivalent required.
