Position Summary
Weareseekingastrategicanddetail orientedDirectorofSourcingtoleadsourcingeffortsforourcorebootscategory.AswegrowandsplitresponsibilitiesbetweenProductDevelopmentandSourcing,thisnewlydefinedrolewillfocusonstreamliningvendorpartnerships,optimizingcost,andbringingconsistencyandexcellencetoourbootssourcingoperations.Thisleaderwillmanagetwodirectreportsandworkcloselywithcross-functionalteamsincludingMerchandising,ProductDevelopment,andDesigntodeliverhigh-qualityproductthatmeetsbrandstandards,financialtargets,andseasonaldemand.
Key Responsibilities
Leadend-to-endsourcingstrategyandexecutionforthebootscategory,ensuringstrongvendorpartnerships,costoptimization,andon-timedelivery
Manageandmentorasmallsourcingteam(SourcingManagerandAssociateSourcingManager–Accessories),fosteringacultureofaccountability,collaboration,andcontinuousimprovement
Overseeallcostingexercises,suppliernegotiations,andmarginanalysistosupportmarginexpansionandseasonalfinancialtargets
Collaboratewithinternalteamstoalignsourcingtimelineswithproductdevelopmentcalendarsandmerchandisingstrategy
Analyzeproductiontimelines,capacityplanning,anddeliveryschedulestoensureoperationalefficiencyandresponsiveness
PartnerwiththeVPofSourcingtoevaluatesupplierperformanceandimplementimprovementstiedtoquality,cost,compliance,andethicalsourcing

10-15yearsofexperienceinsourcingorsupplychainmanagement,ideallywithinfootwearoraccessories
Proventrackrecordofdrivingcostefficienciesandmanagingdirectvendorrelationships(factory-directexperiencepreferred)
Strongcostingandmarginownershipbackground–someonewhocanrolluptheirsleevesanddothemath
Knowledgeofglobalsourcingmarkets,particularlyinAsia(China,Vietnam,India,etc.)
Experienceworkingacrossbigboxretailaccountsandunderstandingretailercompliancestandards
Highleveloforganization,attentiontodetail,andaproactive,solutions-firstmindset
