**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, Every Other Saturday as necessary**Waste Connections, Inc.** is looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our high-performing team in **Okahumpka, FL**. If you have experience in the Waste or Recycling industry, that’s a huge plus—but not required. We offer competitive pay, great benefits, and career growth! **The Job:*** Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Trucks and Heavy Equipment.* Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.* Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.* Complete work orders and documentation using our fleet maintenance software.* Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.* Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment. **Requirements:*** 2+ Years of hands-on Diesel Mechanic experience (Waste Industry preferred)* Strong knowledge of DPF Regeneration Systems (especially CUMMINS and MACK)* Welding/Fabrication skills are a big plus!* Must have your own tools.* Basic computer skills for Diagnostics and Documentation* Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage **What’s in It for You:*** $24–$28/hr.* Boot Allowance + Safety Bonuses!* Reliable Work Hours with Overtime Built In* Career Growth with one of the Top Companies in the Industry
