R-93120**Diesel Mechanic – Join Our Team!****Novak Sanitary Service, a Waste Connections Company** *Location:* Sioux Falls, South Dakota
*Pay Range:* $24 - $32 per hour *Schedule:* Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PMWe are **Waste Connections**, a leading integrated services company providing solid waste collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services across the U.S. and Canada.We take pride in being a **different kind of company**—one where **self-directed, empowered employees** have our full trust and support to **realize their potential** while making a lasting impact on their communities and careers.**What You’ll Do as a Diesel Mechanic:** Perform **repairs, inspections, and diagnostics** on diesel vehicles, including electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
Utilize **vehicle computer electrical systems** to interpret failure modes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules
Respond to **road calls** for emergency repairs
Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on **driver Vehicle Inspection Reports**
Complete required paperwork using **fleet maintenance software**
**Test drive** trucks after services and repairs
Assist **team members** with repairs as needed
Maintain a **safe, clean work area** in compliance with OSHA and company standards**What We’re Looking For:** **Proficiency in diesel vehicle diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repair**
**Basic tool set** (Tool Allowance Provided!)
**Hydraulic experience is a plus**
