The Role Our Core/Core Plus Multi‑Sector Team is in search of an Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) or Portfolio Manager (PM), depending on level of experience, who will assist in the launch and development of the Core/Core Plus SMA strategy at Lord Abbett.

We’ll trust you to:

Take primary responsibility for overall high‑level asset allocation and co‑responsibility for sub‑industry allocations in SMA strategies and accounts in alignment with the team’s overall views

Communicate the Core/Core Plus story – Team, Process, Competitive Advantages, Macro Outlook, and Positioning Themes internally and externally

Train and provide oversight of junior members of the team who will support SMA PM operations and logistics

Develop strong relationships with counterparties and partners

You’ll need to have:

7‑10+ years of experience in portfolio management with some experience in multi‑sector or dedicated sector investing

Buy‑side experience working in a team‑based environment is preferred

Strong organizational skills to manage across many different sectors

Ability to effectively communicate and drive positive outcomes in a collaborative, results‑oriented environment

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MA, MBA and/or CFA designation is viewed positively

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
