Overview
Strategic Account Manager, Equipment HVAC Sales. Carrier, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is committed to creating innovations that bring comfort, safety and sustainability to life. The Strategic Account Manager develops and grows national sales of HVAC equipment, services, and controls within the healthcare vertical, focusing on building owner relationships and securing national agreements with an emphasis on equipment. Key Responsibilities
Develop new business relationships with end-user clients and create a business case to utilize Carrier building solutions for facilities (new construction and replacement projects). Communicate with end-user decision-makers (C-Level, VP of Operations, Directors of Facilities and Engineering professionals); maintain/expand relationships within assigned accounts and create new ones; act as a trusted advisor in the healthcare vertical. Collaborate with building owners to improve system reliability, reduce energy consumption, improve indoor environments, and support patient-centered initiatives. Partner with field sales, service teams, operations, and leadership as needed. Create and implement strategic sales strategies to position Carrier as the preferred supplier for targeted projects in a competitive environment. Manage current Carrier GPO relationships to maximize equipment sales. Perform needs assessments, develop sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations; coordinate with operations, finance, legal and other resources to facilitate sale and negotiate contracts. Oversee projects from bid to installation with Carrier sales and service channels to ensure satisfactory completion. Prepare accurate sales activity, forecast, and expense reports; maintain Sales Force updates. Participate in professional organizations to build a network and pursue sales targets; actively participate in meetings and keep current on market trends; deepen product, service, and financial knowledge. Develop and deploy account management strategies for current accounts; team sell with solutions partners to expand Carrier participation. Develop long-term relationships and expand the value of assigned accounts across Carrier Commercial System offerings. Drive and coordinate new business across product lines to meet objectives, with a focus on customer retention and satisfaction. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of experience in HVAC system solution sales 5+ years of experience reviewing contracts and negotiating bids Ability to travel up to 25% domestically Preferred Qualifications
MBA preferred 3+ years of Healthcare Construction experience Experience with GPOs (Group Purchasing Organizations) preferred High level of technical and sales expertise to assist field offices in selling Carrier Commercial equipment and service Related professional certifications preferred Ability to work independently on a team Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with external customers and cross-functional teams Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication and ownership Excellent follow-up and follow-through; highly organized with attention to detail and prioritization Customer service orientation Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders across multiple channels Ideal candidate located in Nashville, TN, or nearby (not a requirement) Benefits
