Responsibilities
Implement and monitor the established golf‑course maintenance standards to ensure superior playing conditions. Assist the Director of Golf Course Operations in developing the summer renovation, seasonal top‑dressing, greens rolling schedules, and all other programmed maintenance events. Direct daily maintenance operations that prepare greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and all playing surfaces. Direct all safety‑related training programs and illustrate their importance through demonstrated support. Utilize interdepartmental communication by sharing weekly departmental activities, fostering defined goals and objectives. Job Skills and Qualifications
Associate of Science degree or two‑year certificate in an agronomic‑related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/management role. Strong management, leadership, and people skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, including industry‑specific technology and TORO GCS program. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. General knowledge of spreadsheets, income statements, and budgeting programs. Sound knowledge of the game of golf, golf‑course equipment, computerized irrigation systems, and IPM systems. Applied knowledge of private club operations regarding legal liability and employee relations. Valid Florida driver’s license. Support a drug‑free workplace and comply with all policies. Obtain a current State of Florida Ornamental and Turf‑Restricted Use Pesticide License within 6 months of employment. Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Flexible availability; will work weekends, holidays, and may respond to emergencies at odd hours. Ability to spend long periods on feet, walking, standing, and stooping. About Bonita Bay Club
