Overview About Mountain Air Country Club- Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains at an elevation of 4,436 feet, just northeast of Asheville, NC. Our established, member-owned country club offers the very best in aviation, golf, and club living. Members enjoy an array of resort-style amenities including the highest private runway east of the Mississippi, 18 holes of golf, Har Tru tennis courts, pickleball courts, a complete fitness and wellness center, outdoor discovery center, and children's accommodations.

About the Course- Mountain Air is a unique golfing experience, as well as a unique golf course management experience. In 2022 and 2023, we completed a full irrigation renovation to the Rain Bird IC System and Cirrus Pro operating system. We have also recently renovated bunkers to the Better Billy Bunker System. This fall we will begin a tee renovation project, enlarging the tees and converting them to Crystal Bluelinks Bentgrass. We have plans for drainage improvements throughout the property, and a greens renovation is in the plans as well. The course features all cool season turf. We have Penncross, A1/A4, and 007 greens, tees, and fairways. Roughs are a mixture of fescue and bluegrass.
