About the Role Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We are looking for a Commercial/Mid‑Market Account Executive that enjoys SaaS sales and can picture themselves working in a fast‑paced startup environment. This is a full‑time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in‑person collaboration, including two days in the office each week.

What You’ll Do
Daily outbound prospecting to target account lists to create demand and generate consistent pipeline.
Work closely with your partner network to generate referrals, co‑sell on opportunities, and expand Fivetran’s use across the partner portfolio.
Execute every sales cycle with precision: conduct detailed discovery, lead product demonstrations, coordinate executive alignment, and drive positive business outcomes to create long‑term customer value.
Become an expert in Fivetran’s technology, market, and value proposition.
Execute campaigns to drive customer adoption and expand usage of Fivetran within your customer accounts (in their first six months as a customer).
Forecast and articulate your opportunities on a weekly basis using the MEDDPICC and Command of the Message methodology.
Work closely with your team, peers, and cross‑functional business stakeholders to provide valuable feedback and new ideas.
Embrace and adapt to a fast‑moving environment with large amounts of change.
Skills We’re Looking For
3–4 years of experience in a closing sales role.
Experience in Business Development – crucial for success as an AE at Fivetran.
Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to hold multiple stakeholders accountable throughout a sales cycle.
A customer‑centric approach and passion for how customers can gain value and insight from data.
Ability to convey technical principles in a very consultative and conversational way.
Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
Bonus Skills
Familiarity with the modern data technology industry and key players.
Compensation The compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new‑hire compensation for the target position and level. It may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role. Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business need, and market demands. The compensation range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Oakland Pay Range: $88,992—$111,240 USD
On‑Target Earnings (OTE): $177,984—$222,480 USD
