**Gainesville Regional Utilities' Water/Wastewater Department** is currently seeking to fill a Utility Engineer position in the Engineering Asset Management and Pipeline Infrastructure group. This position consists of routine professional and technical engineering work coordinating the planning, designing, permitting, and implementing of critical water distribution and wastewater collection pipeline projects.* Competitive compensation and benefit package* Making a difference in the community* Advancement opportunities* Pension plan that works for you, when you stop working* Reimbursement for continuous education and technical training- Bachelor of Science in engineering degree from an ABET accredited educational institution and six (6) or more years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility.- Appropriate co-op time and/or an advanced degree in engineering, business or other relevant courses of study may substitute for up to one year of experience.- Bachelor of Science in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited educational institution and four (4) years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility.- Appropriate co-op or internship time and/or an advanced degree in engineering, business or other relevant function (e.g. planning, public administration, etc.) may be recognized for up to one year of experience depending on degree of technical work performed.- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited educational institution and two (2) years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility.- Appropriate co-op time and/or an advanced degree in engineering, business or other relevant courses (e.g. planning, public administration, etc.) of study may be recognized for up to six months of experience.* Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited educational institution required by start date.* No experience required.* Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.* Valid State of Florida “Engineering Intern” license may be required for Water/Wastewater* Valid Professional Engineer license preferred* Experience with Civil 3D and ArcGIS preferred**Continuing Education and Development****All ‘regular’ employees are eligible for traditional benefits such as health insurance, life insurance, paid leave, 11 paid a holidays a year, a pension plan and a deferred compensation plan, but we also o****ff****er great things like on-site** **fi****tness centers, tuition reimbursement, on-site medical sta****ff** **and a wellness program to keep you healthy and happy.** *Please note; benefits are not available for temporary employees.* #J-18808-Ljbffr
