
Children’s Director or Family Pastor Crosspoint Church

The Children’s Director or Family Pastor will oversee and coordinate programs and events pertaining to all facets of children’s ministry at Crosspoint Church.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide congregational oversight and direction of the discipleship and outreach purposes of Crosspoint Church. This includes all ministries encompasses within the ministry to children (Nursery to 5th Grade).
Reporting: This position will be report directly to the Executive Pastor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Believer in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and a member of Crosspoint Church.
Solid Biblical knowledge and the ability to effectively teach it (in small and large group settings).
Strong written communication skills and must be able to communicate orally with proficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills with experience in leading teams and developing people.
Ability to problem solve, work independently and execute with minimal oversight.
Must have experience in the oversight of people and systems and must be a team player.
Good computer skills and comfortable with digital devices and platforms.
Must have some previous or on-going biblical training.
Responsibilities
Oversight of Children’s Ministry Programs & Activities (Newborn to 5th Grade)
Nursery, 2/3’s Class, Waumba Land, Upstreet, Greenlight, Awana
Recruit New Volunteers for each of the Children’s Ministry Programs
Provide Routine Trainings to Equip Volunteers to Minister to Children
Regularly Appreciate Volunteers for each of our Children’s Ministries
Follow-Up with Kids and Families on a routine basis (visitation of families)
Follow-Up with New Kids and Families who attend the church
Oversee Regular Updates of Children’s Ministry Programs and Events (Newsletter, Facebook)
Organize Children’s Outreach Events and Activities (VBS, Trunk-or-Treat, etc.)
Cultivate Ways to Emphasize Key Biblical Worldview Initiatives (Missions, Spiritual Disciplines, etc.)
Organize/Planning Curriculum for Children’s Ministry Programs
Assist other Children’s Ministry Leaders with projects they are working on
Assist in creating Family Discipleship Systems and Processes to help families better disciple their children
Provide Personal Guidance/Discipleship to Families on how to train their children
Receive Continued Training on best practices for ministering to children
Be willing to accept other responsibilities/duties assigned by the Executive Pastor.
