About Church and Community
Federated Church of Burlingame is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead their congregation following the retirement of their beloved pastor, who faithfully served for the past 16 years.Our church was established in 1948 through the union of the local Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian congregations. We are an interdenominational fellowship dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and nurturing believers through sound, Bible-based teaching. Burlingame is a small rural town of approximately 950 residents, located 25 miles southwest of Topeka along US Highway 56. As the largest congregation in the area, we recognized the importance of being active in our community and seek a pastor who is equally committed to community engagement. Position Overview
We are prayerfully searching for a pastor who is: Genuinely called by God to Scripture preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Grounded in the Word of God, with sermons based solely on. Able and willing to become involved in the life of our small-town community. Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (though pastoral experience may also be considered in lieu of formal education). No marital or age requirements. A servant-hearted leader with strong Biblical knowledge and a shepherd’s heart. Church Structure and Support
Current staff includes Senior Pastor (vacant), part-time secretary, and part-time custodian. Governance is provided by a Church Board (Chairman, Vice Chairman, and 5 members). Several committees support different ministries within the church. Application Process
