Overview
Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a
Senior Product Manager . As a Senior Product Manager on the commercial business team, you are the accountable manager for your portion of the product portfolio. You champion the needs of internal customers and ensure clear direction for product investments. This high-visibility role provides a comprehensive view across the organization and is responsible for coordinating product strategies that support annual growth objectives in our channels.
This position can be based in either Coopersburg, PA or Conshohocken, PA.
Responsibilities
Define product priorities and roadmaps, advocating for investment alignment with business strategy and engineering capacity.
Own and drive the global product roadmap, build business cases to justify investments, and manage the product lifecycle.
Develop deep understanding of the product category, including financials, market performance, and gaps.
Drive innovation within the portfolio, from disruptive to sustaining innovations.
Represent the voice of the customer by understanding target customers and channels.
Build support for strategic projects through consensus and buy-in from senior leaders.
Monitor the competitive landscape and collaborate with product teams to maintain competitive positioning.
Align product specifications and trade-offs with engineering and business leaders.
Plan and execute new product launches and sales programs with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to meet sales targets.
Manage pricing and positioning to optimize sales and margins.
Collaborate on multi-year growth plans with sales, marketing, and business leadership.
Key Capabilities
Ability to make product spec trade-offs with engineering and operations.
Strong presentation skills for executive communication.
Creative problem-solving and team alignment skills.
Empathy for customers and channel partners, with insight extraction skills.
Experience in creating and driving product roadmaps with organizational alignment.
Proven success in influencing and leading across organizations, including senior leadership.
Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or business.
At least 6 years of product management experience.
Experience leading product teams is a plus.
Knowledge or experience in the commercial construction industry is preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
