Overview
The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Manager, University Events within the Development and Alumni Relations Division. Reporting to the Director of University Events, this position is responsible for planning and managing multiple events, generally with fewer than 300 guests. The Manager oversees all aspects of assigned events, including invitation and theme creation, menu design and program details, and event set-up and strike coordination.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and decision-making for University support staff, campus crews, and external vendors to ensure events are executed seamlessly.
Produce events in alignment with standards and expectations set by the President of the University.
Support the Director with planning and execution of larger, more complex events.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR
Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience
Related Experience: Experience in planning, producing and evaluating goal-oriented programs and/or events or related experience.
Schedule or Travel Requirements
Weekends and evenings on scheduled programs and projects.
Longer hours as needed for events.
