Overview
DXP is seeking a Sales Professional to develop strategic plans and forecasts for accounts, communicate effectively, resolve customer issues proactively, grow and maintain a sales territory, identify new opportunities, understand customer visions and supply chain objectives, build relationships with decision makers, exceed sales goals, and provide routine cost savings reports. Under the direction of the Sales VP, this role focuses on delivering proactive solutions and maintaining strong customer partnerships within the territory. Develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts for accounts; communicate well with internal and external stakeholders, and proactively resolve customer issues Develop and manage the assigned sales territory Grow and maintain new and existing accounts Stay up to date on latest trends in Rotating Equipment for the product line we represent Identify new sales/service opportunities within the territory Proactively solve MRO and Bearing Power Transmission problems using the products we represent Acknowledge the customer’s vision and supply chain objectives and provide proactive solutions Establish and expand relationships with decision makers within each customer organization Documented success in exceeding sales goals and cost savings, with routine cost savings reports and customer agreement where possible Maintain strong process discipline Provide monthly reports for each key account highlighting changes, service issues, competitive challenges, customer projects, and cost savings Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years outside sales experience selling industrial supplies Customer-service oriented mentality Computer literate Organized and detail oriented Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience generating proposals and solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Self-starter with the ability to work productively with minimal supervision Experience maintaining long-term customer relationships with significant add-on/repeat business Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines Additional Information
Pay Range: $75k+ (DOE) Physical Demand: N/A Working Conditions: Driving to and from customer locations Training/Certifications: N/A Location: Cedar Rapids, IA Territory Shift Time/Overtime: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred DXP is an equal opportunity employer.
