Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable
Garage & Overhead Door Salesperson
to join our team. This position is responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, and providing expert guidance on residential and commercial garage door products, openers, and accessories. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a proven ability to close sales through exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities for new construction, retrofit, and service projects.
Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs, take measurements, and provide accurate quotes.
Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, homeowners, and property managers.
Present product options, materials, styles, and finishes that align with customer needs and budgets.
Collaborate with the estimating, operations, and installation teams to ensure project accuracy and timely completion.
Follow up on bids, proposals, and leads to maximize closing rates.
Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and sales activity using company data sheets and Service Fusion software.
Stay current with supplier product knowledge, pricing updates, and industry trends.
Participate in trade shows, networking events, and marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in
construction, building materials, or garage door sales
preferred.
Strong understanding of overhead door systems and related components (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications (a plus).
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient with computers.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Competitive base salary plus commission
