Job Title Architectural Designer
Job Description We are seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join our diverse and dynamic team. As part of our newly formed Franchise studio, you will work on a variety of high-volume and fast-paced projects, primarily supporting the CAD drafting side. Your role will involve creating design and construction documents mainly for franchise and retail projects, and potentially engaging in technical aspects depending on your experience.
Responsibilities Create design and construction documents for franchise and retail projects.
Develop construction documents under the direction of senior draftsmen or project managers.
Assist in managing job folders and project administration.
Field measure and document existing building conditions.
Ensure efficient delivery to meet specific client deadlines and project goals.
Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
Over 3 years of experience in Architectural Drafting/CAD work/Production work.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience with retail or commercial project work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with franchise projects (retail, small business, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with Revit and Sketchup.
Experience with PowerPoint, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Work Environment Our office environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and energetic. We encourage a healthy work-life balance and support the development of all staff members. Office hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a half day on Fridays. The work environment is family-friendly, and we have moved into a larger office close to downtown Royal Oak. While we prefer our team to be in the office five days a week, there is flexibility for a hybrid setup once you are trained and up to speed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
