About the Role
The Social Media Account Manager is creative, collaborative, and self-driven. You will organically grow client communities across their social profiles through strategic content, community engagement, and data-driven decision making. Understanding social media trends and a passion for the Firearms, Outdoors, Hunting, Fishing, Off-road, Survival, and Defense Industries is critical, as is the ability to craft copy that embodies each unique client that OMG manages.
Prior experience managing social profiles with large follower counts utilizing third-party software is a must, with Sprout Social being preferred. In-depth knowledge and experience with the Firearms, Outdoors, and Defense industries is a must.
This is an in-person position based out of our office in north Phoenix, Arizona. Please do not apply if you are not able to work in the office five days a week.

Key Responsibilities
Own the social media strategy for multiple client accounts - develop recommendations, explain your reasoning, and demonstrate impact
Develop long-term strategies for growth, engagement, and client satisfaction
Interface directly with clients to ensure satisfaction, present monthly reports, and identify opportunities
Identify opportunities for projects outside retainer scope and bring them to leadership for consideration
Work in sync with Social Media Lead and Director of Client Strategy to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
Content Creation & Management
Maintain social media content calendars, planning one month of posts in advance using Sprout Social
Write, edit, publish, and share engaging daily content that maintains each client's unique voice and personality
Create graphic design for holidays, special events, promotions, and premium content
Use Monday.com boards to coordinate creative production and provide direction to the creative team
Develop identifiable style and personality for each client, maintaining brand continuity
Create style guides for new accounts
Assist with photo/video productions as needed
Platform Management & Community Engagement
Manage and maintain client social media accounts daily utilizing Sprout Social (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit)
Interact and respond to comments, tagging, and direct messages on all social platforms
Quickly and effectively resolve any issues or criticisms that arise across OMG client social profiles
Research and discover new ways of reaching audiences through emerging platforms and content trends
Stay current on social media trends and inform management of relevant changes
Analytics & Reporting
Use Sprout Social for analytics, competitor research, and reporting
Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy based on data
Ensure all client social deliverables are completed within deadlines
Take notes and produce action items from client meetings for the Social Media Lead
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, Social Media, or related field (preferred)
3+ years experience in social media, community building, or creative social roles, 7+ years experience with no degree
Proven campaign success with a strong portfolio of content
Industry Knowledge
Robust understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok, Reddit, and online forums in the firearms/outdoors space
Familiarity with platform algorithms, best practices, and evolving trends
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency with Sprout Social (or similar social media management platforms)
Experience with social analytics and social listening tools
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design
Experience with project management tools (Monday.com or similar)

Ability to work cross-functionally and interface directly with clients
Stand Out Qualifications
Prior work experience at an advertising or marketing agency
Deep knowledge of firearm products, brands, and industry trends
Personal experience with firearms, hunting, fishing, or outdoor sports
Active participation in firearms/outdoors communities (forums, events, competitions)
Understanding of firearms regulations, compliance, and advertising restrictions
Existing network within the firearms/outdoors industry

Salary
$45,000 - $65,000 per year (based on experience)
