Role Overview Are you passionate about the event industry and eager to start your career in event production + design? We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented entry‑level event assistant to join our team. This role provides hands‑on experience and an opportunity to learn and grow within the events industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll assist in project management, logistics, vendor coordination, and on‑site event management to support our team in delivering successful events.
*This role is contract‑based and is not a full‑time position. Specific contract duration will be determined by the project.
Skills & Abilities
Logistics Coordination: Assist with organizing event logistics, such as scheduling, equipment management, and preparation of event materials.
On‑Site Assistance: Support the event team during setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly.
Communication: Collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors to provide clear and effective communication throughout all stages of the event.
Problem‑Solving: Be proactive in identifying potential challenges and work with the team to implement solutions to keep events on track.
Adaptability: Thrive under pressure and demonstrate flexibility when handling unexpected changes during events.
Qualifications
Experience: No prior event experience required, but relevant coursework, internships, or volunteer work in event planning is a plus.
Technical Skills: Experience with Google Suite and Slack.
Availability: Must be available during working hours to communicate via Slack and participate in project‑related internal and external calls. Flexibility of schedule to be available for evening and weekend events.
Travel: Must be open to travel for on‑site support at events.
