Job Summary The

National Retail Training Manager – Field Sales

is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive training curriculum for Hillman’s national field sales organization. This role focuses on enhancing product knowledge, selling skills, and in-store execution through structured learning programs. The Training Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and key retail partners ( Lowe’s and The Home Depot ) to develop impactful training content, support field immersion, and drive adoption of sales tools and best practices. This position requires

up to 40% travel

and plays a critical role in supporting Hillman’s sales-first culture and talent development strategy. This position will be located at either our

Cincinnati, OH or Atlanta, GA office. Essential Job Functions * Develop and Lead Field Sales Training Programs Design and implement a comprehensive training curriculum focused on product knowledge, selling skills, and in-store execution. Create modular, role-based learning tracks for various field roles (SSRs, Zone Managers, Market Managers, Regional Managers). Establish structured onboarding, continuous learning, and certification processes. Field Immersion and Needs Assessment Spend time in the field to observe, gather feedback, and identify training needs. Use field insights to refine training content and improve sales and leadership capabilities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal teams (Channel, Product, Account, HR, Sales Ops) to align training with business goals and product launches. Support career development planning through training pathways for field roles. Sales Enablement Integration Drive adoption and effective use of sales tools such as Allego, Salesforce, Power BI, and the Hillman Way Playbook. Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to ensure training supports tool mastery and productivity. Customer-Facing Training Leadership Act as the training liaison with Lowe’s and The Home Depot Learning & Development teams. Develop and manage retailer-specific training programs to enhance in-store execution and product knowledge. Support customer training events and co-develop learning content aligned with retailer priorities. *

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Sales, or a related field is required. Advanced degree (e.g., master’s in Business, Education, or Organizational Development) is preferred.
