Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Tax Manager to oversee our corporate tax function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations, managing tax audits, and developing tax strategies that align with the company's financial goals. This role requires a deep understanding of various tax laws and the ability to lead a team in tax planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Conduct tax research to stay updated on current tax laws and regulations affecting the company.
Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance financial performance.
Oversee and prepare tax provisions for financial reporting purposes in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in the management of international tax matters, including transfer pricing and foreign operations.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting processes.
Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff and promote best practices within the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax management or equivalent role.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.
Experience with tax research, tax audits, and developing tax strategies.
Proficient in tax accounting and financial reporting processes.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
