POSITION TITLE: Associate Account Manager, MRO Channel REPORTING TO: Manager, MRO Channel Strategy LOCATION: Benton Harbor, MI Who is GAST Manufacturing? Scope of Role: The Associate Account Manager, MRO Channel is responsible for driving growth and achieving business objectives in the catalog/MRO distribution channel for North America. This role is a sales development role that will support our efforts to win at our 20C customers while engaging with their manager to better understand MRO channel management. Responsibilities will consist of account planning and execution, organizational and analytical judgments specific to the sale of the brands represented by IDEX Performance Pneumatics (IPP). The role will also be responsible for developing relationships within the MRO channel partners and to understand key applications and end users that utilize our product. The position will participate in the development and implementation of strategy to grow share of wallet at our midtier MRO partners. The candidate will have an understanding of sales process and display the ability to work cross-functionally within a manufacturing environment. The position requires up to
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding Annual Operating Plan objectives within the their assigned accounts
Develop and implement a growth strategy which will improve share with existing partners
Support corporate-level strategy with strategic accounts (80Cs) by handling daily tasks and follow up actions
Maintain a balance of building strong, collaborative relationships with partners while maintaining IPP’s interests and goals as a top priority
Outline a targeted communication strategy with existing on the represented brands’ value propositions as well as capabilities and offerings
Evaluate, develop, and execute a best-in-class content plan for each partner’s website and e-commerce platforms
Provide accurate and timely forecast information to management on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Work cross-functionally with the commercial organization to inform and support efforts to drive growth initiatives
Provide market and competitive intel to product management through customer interactions, prospecting, and attendance at industry tradeshows
Other duties as assigned
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
Bring prioritization mindset to all job responsibilities
Understand where growth opportunities lie within the assigned channel; focusing on growing share by expansion
Support new product launches and other key initiatives as defined by Product Manager
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering
At least two (2) years equivalent work experience in distribution sales, inside sales, sales support or account management
Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is preferred
Proven ability to work cross-functionally
Proven track record of delivering sales results
Strong personal leadership and experience working in manufacturing environment
Project management experience
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to manage priorities as articulated by direct manager
Must have ability to build relationships with current / new customers
Must be self-motivated, show initiative, anticipate, and prevent issues by executing advanced problem-solving skills
Demonstrate ability to lead and work well in a team environment
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work well with customers and internal team members to lead positive change in a fast-paced work environment
