As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or scanning devices, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining an organized and efficient workspace. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product information against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the picking and packing areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet or exceed productivity targets for order picking and packing.
- Report any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies to a supervisor.
- Participate in regular inventory counts as needed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, promoting efficient logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or fulfillment role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Willingness to perform tasks involving frequent lifting, with an emphasis on safe lifting techniques.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
