Job Purpose The purpose of the Inside Sales Professional (ISP) is to identify and serve the needs of our customers, assist them in obtaining products or information and provide excellent customer service while fulfilling the many needs of customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Process customer orders received in person (at the sales counter) or by phone, fax and e‑commerce to include company transfers and delivery requests.
Locate parts, equipment and supplies for our customers from various sources.
Support long‑term business relationships with our customers to help promote sales growth and gain acceptance.
Assist in warehouse duties, which include pulling customer orders and putting away stock while occasionally operating a forklift.
Promote new and existing products, upgrades and services to our customers.
Assist customers with technical support and problem solving.
Identify prospective/future customers through store or phone sales and communicate prospects to sales team (Territory Managers or Account Executives).
Maintain professional atmosphere of sales facility by restocking and maintaining both showroom shelves and product displays.
Process warranties.
Process cycle counts and assist in maintaining accuracy of physical inventory.
Participate in after‑hours on‑call and training classes.
Work overtime as assigned.
Work cooperatively with others.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Maintain regular, punctual and reliable physical attendance and availability.
Physical requirements: stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Work environments may be as cold as 20 °F or as hot as 105 °F. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years customer service and/or sales experience.
2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry (preferred).
Proficient in computers, including MS Office.
Forklift experience.
Travel Requirement
5% travel to branches and other operating companies, some overnight stay; travel to industry‑related conferences and training requiring some extended stay.
