Relationship Banker I at Regions is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone, contributing to the financial wellness of customers, and creating meaningful personal connections while processing transactions. The role involves identifying customer needs and assisting in resolving end-to-end customer service inquiries. This position is suitable for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are seeking growth, development, and upward mobility. Regions’ mission is to make life better for customers and communities. The successful candidate should be ambitious and adaptable with a desire to educate customers on banking options, including when, where, and how they can bank. Strong communication and personalized customer service skills are required. Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling transactional needs (deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller tasks). Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests (new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution). Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their banking relationship. Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, and ATM offerings) to simplify banking. Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in issue resolution. May conduct outbound calls to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with financial needs using generated lead lists. Refer customers to internal experts for more complex financial goals and needs. Follow bank processes and procedures; adhere to laws and regulations; perform duties assigned by the Branch Manager; manage and report operational risks as a branch team member. Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and guiding Regions solutions. This position requires tracking time for hours worked beyond 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The position is incentive eligible. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Ability to work Saturdays as needed Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels Ability to use a computer regularly, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor Ability to walk and stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds Preferences
One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience Skills and Competencies
