Overview
Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot. The position is to prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud and to support safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store(s). The role uses tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.
Location: Charleston, WV
Responsibilities
Prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud and support safety and environmental program compliance in assigned store(s).
Utilize tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.
Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement; testify in criminal and civil court actions.
Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty; carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
Demonstrate integrity at all times; respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates; remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities.
Qualifications
Integrity at all times; ability to interact with law enforcement and testify as needed, as described in responsibilities.
Ability to perform asset protection duties in a retail store environment and to focus on business objectives.
