The Asset Protection Specialist at The Home Depot is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and for supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. They use tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system, and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.
Responsibilities
Prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud and support safety and environmental program compliance in assigned stores.
Identify incidents of theft and fraud, review CCTV and exception reports, monitor store physical security, audit the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system, and drive a shrink-elimination culture.
Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence and interact with law enforcement.
Testify in criminal and civil court actions as required.
Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates while remaining focused on store objectives and protecting asset protection responsibilities.
