This opportunity is ideal for a forward-thinking, result-oriented business development representative who thrives in consultative sales, with some knowledge of selling tangible products and services.
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to our Account Executive Leader, you will build a territory and grow earnings by developing repeat business relationships and opening new business.
You will call on engineers, maintenance, purchasing, and others, using your consultative selling approach to learn about your customers' applications and needs.
Achieve sales and profit goals by developing new business through cold calling, prospecting, and in-person presentations.
Conduct sales activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up, negotiate terms, and close transactions.
Conduct product demonstration sessions for customers, survey market and competitive conditions.
Complete reports on itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related activities.
Position Requirements:
At least 1 year of business-to-business sales experience or proven professional leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Basic skills in Word, Excel, and computer usage.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
Experience in outside B2B sales.
Desired Characteristics:
Self-starter and self-motivated.
Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
