The Neuroscience Sales Representative has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner. The NSR will develop superior product and disease state knowledge to engage healthcare professionals in in-depth clinical dialogue and will contribute to local strategic and tactical plans, budget management, and program execution within the territory. We are looking for sales professionals who have a passion for patients, tenacity for results, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities
Following compliance guidelines, drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned territory by calling on predominantly Primary Care HCP offices and select PC targets, in-person or virtual. Develop product and disease state knowledge and educate healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients. Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives. Customize discussions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner. Function independently with sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets are met. Maintain understanding of the local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; share information with internal stakeholders. Provide input into resource allocation decisions and identify appropriate programs/resources for each customer, practice, or system. Provide special education to healthcare providers through compliant programs within ITCI’s guidelines. Collaborate with District Manager and stakeholders to develop a local business plan and capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities. Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialist teams on objectives and best practices. Manage administrative tasks timely, including work hours, sales data, customer objectives, responses, synchronization, samples, and expense reporting. Meet or exceed NSR deliverables and build a compliant business plan based on customer needs and resources. Complete all company and job-related training within required timelines. Note: duties may change with or without notice. Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales; pharmaceutical, biologics, and/or medical device sales experience preferred. Antipsychotic and/or bipolar sales experience is a plus. Strong desire to improve lives of patients and caregivers; patient-centric approach. High integrity and compliance with company policies. Strong self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, and collaboration skills. Ability to learn in evolving environments and adapt to telemedicine/virtual settings. Ability to analyze data/metrics and identify opportunities and diagnose performance issues. Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills; able to communicate technical information to diverse audiences. Willingness to travel domestically, including some overnight stays, and meetings outside normal hours. Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
