The company possesses an enviable in‑house engineering capability, employing a team of chemical, metallurgical, and mechanical engineers who provide process engineering design, R&D, and support services for our potable and effluent water treatment, solid‑liquid separation, chemical dosing, remote monitoring and control, and mineral process optimization plants. We focus on the operations and maintenance of water treatment plants, equipment, and water‑related infrastructure by deploying trained and qualified operating and maintenance personnel to client facilities. Watercare Innovations is based in Charlotte, the United States, and Gauteng South Africa.

Summary This role involves building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. Key responsibilities include prospecting for new clients, presenting products and services, negotiating sales, and managing customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining strong, long‑lasting relationships with existing and potential mining clients.

Needs Assessment:

Conducting site visits and technical presentations to understand client needs and tailor solutions.

Product Knowledge:

Providing technical expertise and product information to customers, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications of the products or services offered.

Negotiation and Sales Closure:

Negotiating sales contracts and closing deals while meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Reporting and Analysis:

Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends, often using CRM systems; working closely with internal teams (e.g., engineering, production) to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.

Industry Awareness:

Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market feedback.

Assisting with the preparation and follow‑up of tenders and quotations.

Skills

Strong Communication Skills:

Effectively communicating technical information and negotiating sales.

Technical Aptitude:

Understanding the technical aspects of mining equipment and services.

Sales Skills:

Proven ability to build relationships, identify needs, and close sales.

Problem‑Solving:

Addressing customer issues and finding effective solutions.

CRM Proficiency: Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with the mining industry, its operations, and its challenges.

Self‑Motivation and Drive:

Travel Flexibility:

Willingness to travel to mining sites and attend industry events.

Qualifications and Experience

2‑4 years of experience.

Knowledge of sales in equipment would be a bonus.
