The Gearing Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for both new business growth as well as maintaining and expanding share with existing customers. This position will motivate, educate, and lead teams of independent sale agencies to create and maintain customer and business relations. This position is responsible for maintaining relationships with representatives and customers in aiding the product line application and in facilitating internal business communications. The region for this position will consist of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Wisconsin. This is a remote role; however, we prefer the ideal candidate to reside in one of the following states: Western New York or Georgia. All applicants should reside near a major airport and be able to

travel up to 60% of the time .

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, Maintain and Manage contact with independent sales representatives.

Lead the development and execution of territory pipelines for prospective and existing customers’ opportunities to meet Sales goals.

Measure wins, losses and capture rates of territory pipeline.

Plan and coordinate sales enablement initiatives.

Set sales goals and profitability targets and identify the leading metrics to track progress.

Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of overall objectives.

Collaborate interdepartmentally to manage customer accounts and track progress of customer orders.

Collaborate with internal departments, to recommend new products, programs, process improvement, and coordinate sales initiatives.

Identify and recommend new product opportunities based on identified market opportunities.

Develop and implement new strategies for customer-focused service changes to deliver increased value.

Monitor customer and competitive trends in the assigned region and report quarterly.

Submit weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer relationships.

Update industry knowledge by participating in associations, educational opportunities, and maintaining personal networks.

Provide a territory sales forecast on a monthly/quarterly basis as defined by leadership.

Experience and Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field required.

3-5 years’ experience in industrial enclosed gearing markets required.

Outside sales experience required.

Experience in food, beverage markets preferred.

Experience managing both OEM and distribution channels.

Travel

National travel is required up to 60% of the time.

International travel is occasionally required.
