Role Summary Mistral is building and launching its HPC offering to address both private and public major customers, while facing insane business traction into the GenAI market.

Play a pivotal role in building a critical new business vertical that will enable strong differentiator vs other players

Work with our largest and most technically advanced customers, navigating complex infrastructure requirements and ensuring our solutions deliver world‑class performance at scale.

Participate in building mega deals (XX to XXXm $'s)

Manage the full sales cycle — from identifying and qualifying HPC opportunities to closing large‑scale, multi‑year agreements — in close collaboration with our engineering, product, and legal teams.

What you will do 1. Lead Development & Opportunity Identification

Identify and engage with enterprise and institutional customers running large‑scale HPC and AI workloads, focusing on high‑potential accounts.

Drive strategic outbound efforts and manage qualified inbound requests, in collaboration with account managers and sales teams.

Work closely with industry partners, integrators, and technology alliances to expand Mistral’s footprint in HPC and AI compute.

2. Solution Design & Value Proposition

Conduct detailed needs assessments to understand customers’ computational, networking, and storage requirements.

Collaborate with technical teams to architect AI + HPC solutions that maximize performance, efficiency, and business value.

Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) and benchmarking phases, ensuring measurable performance gains and customer confidence.

Articulate Mistral AI’s unique value proposition for both technical (ML Engineers, Heads of AI, HPC Directors) and business stakeholders (CTO, CIO, CDO, DSI), tailoring messaging to their specific challenges.

3. Deal Execution & Closing

Support and accelerate large‑scale deals (>$10M) by bringing deep expertise in Mistral AI’s compute power and HPC offerings.

Develop and execute targeted sales strategies for complex, high‑value opportunities, coordinating internal stakeholders (engineering, product, operations) for seamless delivery.

Address technical objections, conduct demos, and align stakeholders to remove blockers and drive deal progression.

Negotiate contractual terms, including performance SLAs, licensing models, and infrastructure deployment plans.

4. Executive & Technical Engagement

Build relationships with C‑level executives, Heads of R&D, and HPC program directors, positioning Mistral as a trusted advisor.

Facilitate deep technical discussions, translating complex HPC and AI concepts into clear business benefits.

Represent Mistral at industry events, panels, and customer workshops, reinforcing thought leadership in AI for HPC.

5. Partnership & Ecosystem Leverage

Collaborate with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and technology partners to integrate Mistral’s compute power into customer solutions.

Leverage the partner ecosystem to accelerate deal cycles and enhance competitive positioning.

6. GTM & Internal Enablement

Capture market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to inform product roadmap and GTM strategy.

Work hand in hand with Sales and GTM teams to refine Mistral Compute’s product‑market fit, positioning, and sales motion.

Train and enable sales teams on the technical and commercial aspects of Mistral’s compute and HPC offerings, sharing best practices and tools (battle cards, case studies).

Who you are

7–10 years’ experience in enterprise sales of HPC, AI infrastructure, or complex technical solutions

Strong understanding of HPC architectures, parallel computing, GPUs, and cluster management

Experience selling to research institutions, large enterprises, or government agencies with advanced computing needs

Exposure to best‑in‑class Sales practices, methodologies and environments

Mastery of Medic and/or value‑based selling methodologies

Background in AI, data infrastructure, or deep‑tech environments — ideally in a fast‑growing startup

Ability to engage in both technical deep dives and strategic business conversations

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multi‑million‑dollar sales targets in complex B2B environments
