B2B Technical Services / AI-Driven Digital Solutions
role is an opportunity to help build the sales function for a Houston-based technology company that delivers
custom digital solutions and technical consulting services
to mid-market and enterprise organizations. The company develops tailored AI-enabled systems and workflow solutions that automate complex processes, solve operational bottlenecks, and support clients with specialized technical implementations. These are not standard SaaS products; every engagement is scoped, architected, and built for the client’s specific business needs. You will be the first dedicated salesperson, partnering directly with the CEO to create a repeatable sales motion, land new clients, and play a central role in shaping a future sales team.

Day-to-Day This role will focus on driving new business across small to mid-sized enterprise clients that require customized technical solutions. About seventy percent of the role involves outbound hunting, discovery calls, prospecting into C-suite and technical stakeholders, and converting opportunities into project-based consulting engagements. The remaining thirty percent centers on managing and expanding existing clients. You will work directly with the CEO and marketing team to refine messaging, shape solution offerings, and position the company as a trusted technical partner.
Responsibilities
Build and execute a targeted sales strategy to drive new technical consulting engagements
Prospect, qualify, and convert mid-market and enterprise clients needing custom digital solutions
Lead consultative discovery to understand business problems and translate them into solution scopes
Present proposals that define project plans, resource needs, timelines, and business impact
Manage and grow existing accounts through solution expansion and follow‑on project work
Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline tracking, and account plans
Work with leadership and marketing on solution positioning, use cases, and sales materials
Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities
Contribute to the long‑term framework for hiring and developing future sales team members
Required Qualifications
5+ years of sales experience in technology services, consulting, systems integration, or custom software development
Bachelor’s degree
Strong record of selling project‑based technical work (not only SaaS products)
Experience selling into the C‑suite, including CTO, CIO, COO, and business unit leaders
Ability to run consultative discovery, define business cases, and translate needs into scoped technical solutions
Skilled in pipeline development, forecasting, and multi‑stakeholder deal cycles
Ability to understand technical solution components, including AI concepts, data workflows, and system integrations
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms; familiarity with marketing automation tools a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Background with firms like Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, Cognizant, Slalom, or boutique technical consultancies
Experience in digital transformation, AI‑enabled automation, or technical implementation projects
MBA or advanced degree is a plus
Technical degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Compensation & Perks
Base salary plus performance‑based bonus and commissions. OTE up to $250,000
Full‑time role based in Houston, TX (currently remote; moving toward a hybrid model in the future: 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Standard working hours: 9am–6pm CST
Strong growth opportunity to build and lead a sales team
