Job Summary Account Executive – MDU sells complex telecommunications services to clients and is accountable for meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Responsibilities
Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values
Meets or exceeds corporate/system sales goals
Prospects, cold calls (by phone and in person) and generates new sales opportunities
Develops and maintains strategic account plans
Develops relationships with clients and provides solutions to meet their needs
Develops proposals and presentations to deliver to customers and prospects
Ensures client retention and cross-sells and upsells to existing clients
Partners with sales engineer and sales support teams to determine appropriate solutions for complex customer issues
Negotiates pricing, service level and terms/conditions with clients
Ensures product pricing is consistent with pricing structures set at the corporate level and competitive environment
Performs ROI assessment for profitability and submits for approval
Updates essential client information in a timely manner
Ensures customer satisfaction throughout sales cycle
Maintains database information and customer records
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Three years relational sales experience
In-depth understanding of complex financial business models
In-depth understanding of complex legal terminology
Ability to negotiate legal agreements
Ability to build complex business cases
Computer skills including Windows-based applications
Strong negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills
Strong people and relationship management skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to analyze accurately with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and with others
Ability to comply with all Company safety procedures
Appropriate valid driver's license and driving record within Company standards
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Consultative selling experience preferred
