Outside Sales Representative – Industrial (PVF) – Ferguson Since 1953, Ferguson has been a source of quality supplies for a variety of industries, building better infrastructure, homes, and businesses. We are seeking a proven Outside Sales Representative – Industrial (PVF) to fill an immediate need with growing market opportunities. This field-based sales role will support customers in the Geismer, LA area and surrounding areas. The position will be based in the Geismer, LA area. A fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone & laptop will be provided.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, ensuring satisfaction with products and services from order to delivery and beyond.

Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the current customer base by developing sales strategies and new account targeting.

Perform various duties including product quotation and problem resolution.

Analyze competition in the territory, devise sales strategy, and communicate sales strategy to management.

Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.

Document all sales activity performed in the internal Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce) for ongoing evaluation of the new business pipeline and measurement of sales closure results.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years Industrial industry experience and three years outside sales experience.

Results oriented, self‑motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner, build relationships, and enjoy a team environment.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Problem solving, leadership, and listening skills.

General digital literacy.

Self‑motivator, ability to multi‑task and learn quickly.

Compensation This is a base plus commission eligible role, with no cap on commission. The estimated total compensation range, based on performance and experience, is $80,000 – $140,000+.
